I didn't want to go! I didn't want to be a writer. I didn't mean to be a blogger either. I just thought this blog format would be a great way to modernize our website and make adding new things easier. I don't think I will ever be a regular blogger like Anita Westervelt, from the Rio Grande Valley Chapter Texas Master Naturalist, but I am glad we have this blog now to share and record what our chapter does. If you have any photos or news you want to share, let me know.
I learned a lot from Anita's workshop. It was really good with a lot of useful information on how to write gooder, come up with ideas to rite about, and to overcome insecurities about your own writing that stop you from doing it. Don't use this post as an example of what I learned. I still need to practice. ;-p
As Texas Master Naturalists, a lot of us have valuable information to share with others. I didn't know I liked giving presentations about Creatures of the Night until I got talked into giving that presentation. It was my first presentation in many years. But it was different from school projects, I love the topic. Next month, Jessica and I will be giving the talk for the third time at the Rio Grande Valley Chapter's meeting. Using what I learned from Anita, I want to turn some of that presentation into blog posts so I can go into more detail.
