Natural Resource Management at Palo Alto Battlefield - October Meeting

Our presentation this month is on Natural Resource Management at Palo Alto Battlefield presented by Rolando Garza, Archeologist and Chief of Resource Management at Palo Alto Battlefield National Historical Park in Brownsville, Texas. The Resource Management Division provides guidance to park management on all matters related to natural and cultural resources. The division conducts or oversees studies on physical, biological, and cultural resources. Garza received his BA in Anthropology from the University of Texas and MA in Interdisciplinary Studies (History/Geography/Anthropology). He is an active steward of the archeological resources in Cameron County and serves on the Brownsville’s Historic Preservation Design and Review Board and on the Brownsville Historical Association’s Board of Directors.
